Black Lace (and Leather)

An alternative to the LBD is the LBS, the Little Black Skirt.  Leather is always a great investment and a leather skirt, if chosen correctly, can add lots of Va-Va-Voom.  Be careful when picking a leather skirt, as one which is chosen too short might look a bit risqué,  or one chosen too long can overtake the whole image.  A fitted pencil leather skirt either to the knee or slightly just above the knee will add just the right impact and seem classy and elegant.

For this look, I have teamed the leather skirt with a beautiful black lace top which I found in Topshop, and is currently on sale in Opera Lane Cork for €40 euro.  Admittedly it is very see-through, but the shape is stunning on.  It is a gorgeous length falling to the waistline, and is slightly fitted and not too baggy and not too tight either.

If you were being very modest you can add a black string top from Penney’s, usually about 3 euro, or for a more daring look where you wanted to show a little bit more skin, opt for a bralet to cover your important bits.

Channel your inner boho in an alternative direction, with a pretty twist in this crochet vest with mesh detailing, by teaming it back with relaxed denim and sliders for seasonal cool.

A more personal choice for me though, is the look above.. giving it a more Goth Glam. x
