So – I’m just back from Therapie Clinic in Opera Lane in Cork. I had the 4 Layer Facelift Skin Peel done by Sarah…. wow what a difference in the feeling of my skin already.
So Sarah started with a gentle cleansing to take off my makeup, and rinsed well with some warm water and sponges until all traces of makeup were gone. After a thorough investigation of the surface of my skin under bright light, Sarah decided on the 4 Layer Facelift peel. It felt amazing, and I felt at ease immediately as she went through the process step by step along the way.
The treatment outlines the following online:
Skin Conditions Treated
- Dry/dehydrated skin
- Tired/dull skin

What preparation is required prior to treatment?
The 4 Layer Facelift skin peel does not require a pre-treatment product program, however it can beneficial to exfoliate the skin using a Glycolic or Salicylic cleanser 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment to achieve better penetration of active ingredients and optimise treatment results. For me, I had a personal tailored programme of cleansing for two weeks before the peel.
How long is the recovery time?
There is minimal recovery to no recovery time associated with Image 4 Layer Facelift Peel however some clients may experience a light exfoliation over the first few days revealing a fresher, radiant glow.
Does the treatment hurt?
You may experience a warm/tingling sensation when the peel solution is initially applied which will subside within a few minutes. The first layer was the Vitamin C layer, and I found a very slight little tingling, the second layer was the Glycolic Acid, where there was certainly some deeper tingling, but it didn’t hurt – however I was conscious of it, the third layer was another layer of Vitamin C, and the final layer was an Enzyme Layer.
Sarah then used some gentle massage on my face to get all the active ingredients working in harmony, and this lasted for just a few minutes. All the peel was then removed with some cool water, and a mask of Aloe Vera was applied where I was left snoozing for about 5-7 minutes to allow it all sink in to my deeper layers of skin.
Once this was removed, an SPF moisturiser was applied as my skin would be very sensitive to the light and sun – even in the cold Irish weather!
It is only a few hours after my peel, but my skin feels the best it has felt in years!
